Possible Highlander Reboot

I always thought that the Highlander story was fantastic. The whole concept of immortals walking among us for hundreds of years and fighting each other to the death to claim "the prize" was just downright cool. Pretending the other Highlander movies besides the first one didn't happen, I often tell people that they should reboot the franchise and make another film about the origin of Connor MacLeod. Sadly, Christopher Lambert would obviously not be able to reprise his role as he is too old for it, but still, with today's technology and great cinematic minds this would make for a great movie. Finally, it seems that this idea may be seeing the light of day. Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo may be given the opportunity to bring Connor MacLeod of the clan Macleod back to the big screen fighting immortals and choppin' heads.

However, until it happens, like the immortals, when it comes to the Highlander films there can be only one (good one), which is the original movie from 1986.
