I have been a long-time Street Fighter fanatic ever since I played Street Fighter II for the first time at arcades in Chicago. Sure, there were other fighting games that I enjoyed but none was as unique and diverse as SF. The characters, their stories, the stages, the fighting styles and moves; all were very well thought-out with each fighter having fighting moves that differed from the other. This made the game loads of fun because everyone has a different strategy when it comes to fighting games so one could most definitely find a fighter that suited their style.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix was release on the Xbox Live market in November 2008. The game was a complete overhaul as far as graphics are concerned but stayed faithful to the original sprites. It received much praise from critics and gaming magazines and scored high points all across the board.
I came across a site that talked about the soundtrack for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix arranged by OverClocked Remix. OC Remix is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to "preserving and paying tribute" to video game music. Directed by djptretzel and Shael Riley, this new arrangement of the original music delivers some killer beats, edgy guitar and some dirty synths. I even have an ipod playlist called 'Street Fighter Workout' that has a few of the songs that I listen to at the gym. Listening to Ryu's, Ken's and (especially) Guile's themes gets you pumped enough that you'll want to deliver a Dragon Punch to the next arrogant meathead that walks in front of you while you're doing dumbell curls.
For each fighter's theme, they included the normal song as well the 'Heavy Damage' version where the tempo is sped up. You also have the ending music for each character as well as the menu music from other screens of the game.
I'd suggest to any faithful Street Fighter fan or overall gamer to visit www.ocremix.org and check out their stuff.
