Henry Cavill is absolutely jacked (pun-tastic, and you'll see why, keep reading) in the newest Superman movie called The Man of Steel. It's scheduled for a June 14, 2013 release and also stars some big names such as Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne and Christopher Meloni. This film is suppose to delve into Clark's feeling of alienation (another pun!) because of his powers and coming to the realization that he must don the cape to do one thing and one thing only: kick some serious ass. Much like Christian Bale looked like he was the first Batman to actually hit the weight room, Henry Cavill obviously took this part seriously to make everyone believe that his Superman can really stop bullets with his ludicrous abs.
However, as much as Cavill's physical transformation impresses the hell out of me, only one man, in my opinion, truly conveyed the determination, strength, toughness, solidity, and overall goodness of the Clark Kent/Superman character. The man himself...
I know, I know. The old films started to blow after the first one (actually they started to blow at the end of the first one with Superman's amnesia kiss), but Christopher Reeve himself was fantastic. This man didn't care if the films began to get worse. Now, I'm taking a guess here, but I'm pretty sure he looked everyone dead in the eye and said "Sure, I'll be in a film comprised of horrible ideas, but guess what? My Superman is going to rock. Hard. BAM!"

And though he was an outstanding Superman, he was an even better Clark Kent and that's what's important. You liked the guy, and you felt sorry for his clumsiness, but when he needed to shed his nerd threads, that's all she wrote.
This post is in no way a slight to Cavill, but it is simply to honor Christopher Reeve as the big red cape is now passed on to someone else. I'm very much looking forward to The Man of Steel.
And now, about that pun...
