Film Adaptations

I'm on the fence about those inevitable changes that come from film versions of the books you and I enjoy. There are, at times, valid reasons that do justify them and don't effect the core of the story or character. Other times we just ask ourselves "why?". I decided to post this because there is an interview with both directors of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Veneance where one director, Brian Taylor, said:

"We didn't really honestly do a lot of research into the comic book version of Blackout"
"We kind of just took the visual of him and went from there."

Wonderful. That lets me know that at the very least I'll be saving about $9.50 this year. I'm already winning 2012.

You see, we just took the visual of him...
...and went from there.

Issue #1 - 'The First Post'

We welcome all of our future readers and listeners to The Naked Bear. We are two friends here to talk about the things that a lot of us lovers of comics books, movies, video games and all things related enjoy and have an opinion on. This blog and podcast is for all of you that are looking for people that you can express those opinions or share those enjoyments with because, let's face it, we're all nerds here.

Here you'll read, listen or watch discussions and opinions on everything from (and not limited to) certain comic issues to entire films as well as video games and events. We do this because we know what we enjoy and we know what we don't. All the topics discussed will pertain to elements we grew up on and we've decided to expand the conversation beyond ourselves and share it with others.
